A team of professional correspondents and writers are responsible for gathering, writing and producing the Radio News Feature: From Dream to Reality and the Radio magazine: The Villages are Flourishing. The programs focus on the NSP rural development and rehabilitation activities throughout the country. The information is broadcast in various formats, such as feature stories, news magazines and weekly digests.

The Radio News Feature: From Dream to Reality is 25 minutes and it contains features, inclusive interviews, roundtable discussions, telephone interviews, news bulletins, stories, articles, educational and informative articles, poems, etc. The program has been on the air since 1st April, 2008 and has broadcast more than 1,599 programs. 

The NSP news magazine “The Villages are Flourishing” is five minutes of news programming in Dari and five minutes in Pashto daily, except Fridays and other religious and public holidays. The news magazine has been on the air since September 12, 2005 and has broadcast more than 4,648 programs. All radio materials are narrated by well-known Afghan newscasters in both Dari and Pashto and the program is produced by a technical team of editors, a sound engineer and a producer.

Both programs are broadcast six times every week on Radio Afghanistan on AM 1107 KHz = 272, FM 105.2 MHz. The “From Dream to Reality” is broadcast at 8:30 am while the “Villages are Flourishing Program” is broadcast at 7:55 pm (Pashto Language) at 8:55 pm (Dari Language), except Fridays and other national holidays.

  • The NSP documentary films are broadcast through private TV channels, conferences and uploaded onto YouTube and the NSP Facebook page
  • The NSP Mobile Cinema Team showcases the documentary films produced on the NSP achievements and activities to the villagers in all 34 provinces
  • The NSP News Bulletin is published/broadcast through a wide range of national newspapers and local radio channels, as well as uploaded onto various local websites in Dari, Pashto and English languages

A professional team produces print products, such as: monthly newsletter, photo album, file folder, calendar, brochure on the program's success in the rural areas of Afghanistan and distributed to donors, line ministries, FPs, universities and other stakeholders.
